Co-op of the Year Award 2004-2005
Rosey Lecroy, Co-op student placed at Loparex, Inc. on the parallel co-op plan, was selected as the 2004-2005 Wallace State Community College Co-op Student of the Year. She received a plaque and a $150 cash award for this award. Rosey was also selected as 1st Runner-up for the national award from CEIA (Cooperative Education & Internship Association) for 2005. She also won the AACE (Alabama Association of Colleges & Employers) Co-op student of the year in 2004-2005.
Rosey, a liberal arts major, received a scholarship to Athens State University and plans to transfer this fall to pursue a degree in Chemistry. Rosey excelled academically at Wallace State, where she earned a 4.0 grade point average. She is a published poet and a member of the 2005 All-USA Community and Junior College Academic Team.

Information and criteria for selection:
Each year Cooperative Education students are given an opportunity to compete for Wallace State's Co-op of the Year Award during the fall semester. The winner of this award receives a cash award of $150.00, a plaque recognition and great publicity. The deadline to apply for this award is November 19, 2005.
The Director of Cooperative Education nominates Wallace State's Co-op of the Year to compete for state and national awards. Wallace State is proud to announce that our applicants have won Alabama Co-op of the Year award 8 times out of the past 11 years. Traditionally, the state winner receives an additional $150.00 cash award and a plaque. Three of our Co-op students have placed in the national competition.
