Lions Baseball Sweeps Lawson State
HANCEVILLE, Ala.- The Wallace State-Hanceville baseball team completed a sweep of the Cougars of Lawson State Monday. The Lions won the game by a score of 12-3. They are 31-9 overall, and 16-5 in conference play.
Chris Hoffer was the winning pitcher for Wallace in five innings. He struck out two while allowing three runs and five hits.
Chaise Oliver hit two singles and added four RBIs, while Zealous Wheeler was 3-of-4 with two RBIs and two singles.
Jake Elmore stole a base and hit two singles in four at bats, while Logan Eads added another single. Jono Waugh hit 3-for-4 at the plate with three singles and an RBI. Waugh also had a stolen base.
The Lions will be up next against Marion Military Institute on Friday, April 20 at 1 p.m. They will play a double header against Marion on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. as well.
