Lady Lions' Softball Routs Snead State
HANCEVILLE, Ala.--The Wallace State-Hanceville softball team extended a seven game unbeaten streak to nine games with their victories over Snead State. The Lady Lions defeated Snead on Tuesday, 10-1 and 17-6.
Ashley Pratt was the winning pitcher in the first game after five innings. She struck out five and allowed only one run. She also hit a single for the Lady Lions.

Sarah Wilson had a big game for Wallace as she went 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple, single, two runs and three RBIs. Dandi Ammons hit two singles and scored three runs after hitting 2-for-2, and Rachel Baucom was 2-of-2 as she swung for a double, another single and an RBI. Baucom also scored a run, while Delaina Franklin connected on 2-of-3 with a double, single, one run and an RBI.
Hannah Strength had a single and an RBI, and Courtney Underwood hit another single and scored a run. Underwood also had an RBI, while Lindsey McDaniel added another single and an RBI.
Holli Hill picked up the win in the second game as she pitched all five innings. She kept Snead at bay by pitching a shut out through four of the five innings. Wilson scored two runs and had two RBIs after hitting a triple and a single. Baucom added three more runs and two singles after hitting 2-for-3. She also had two RBIs, and Rogers added another run.
Kaitlyn King recorded a double and a run, and Strength had an RBI and she scored a run. Franklin hit in all three of her at bats and scored two runs, grabbed an RBI and hit three singles. Jennifer Sexton hit a single and scored a run after hitting in her only at bat. Underwood added another run for the Lady Lions.
Wallace State (54-9, 11-3 ACCC) will be at home through the rest of the regular season. They face Bevill State-Sumiton on Thursday, April 26 in a double header that begins at 1 p.m. The Lady Lions will then face Columbia State on Friday, April 27 in another double header at 2 and 4 p.m.
