Wallace State Lions Recover from First Round Loss

HANCEVILLE, Ala.-The Wallace State baseball team lost a heartbreaking
14-inning game 1-0 to Chattahoochee Valley in the opening round of the
ACCC Tournament in Dothan on Saturday. Derek Holland threw 10 straight
no-run innings for the Lions before turning the game over to Craig
Kimbrell and Johnathan Lopez, who pitched in relief. Lopez took the loss
after allowing the winning run.

Wallace State recovered from Saturday's disappointment and came back to
win 3-2 over Alabama Southern on Sunday. The Lions are now focused on
their game against Lurleen B. Wallace, which is scheduled for Monday at
noon.
