Wallace State Lions Recover from First Round Loss
HANCEVILLE, Ala.-The Wallace State baseball team lost a heartbreaking 14-inning game 1-0 to Chattahoochee Valley in the opening round of the ACCC Tournament in Dothan on Saturday. Derek Holland threw 10 straight no-run innings for the Lions before turning the game over to Craig Kimbrell and Johnathan Lopez, who pitched in relief. Lopez took the loss after allowing the winning run.
Wallace State recovered from Saturday's disappointment and came back to win 3-2 over Alabama Southern on Sunday. The Lions are now focused on their game against Lurleen B. Wallace, which is scheduled for Monday at noon.
