Wallace State Cheerleaders Make Varsity for Central Florida
HANCEVILLE, Ala.- Former Wallace State-Hanceville cheerleaders Brittany Ditzler and Tiffany Ryan have been named to the varsity squad at the University of Central Florida. Central Florida's cheerleading squad is the reigning Division I National Champion.
Ditzler is from Decatur, Ala., while Ryan hails from Jacksonville, Fla. Their acceptances to UCF come on the heels of their teammates' signings. Brooke Scott from Hayden will be on the varsity squad at the University of Alabama, while Josh Adkins from Gardendale and Wesley Dobbs of Decatur made the junior varsity team at Alabama.
Lauren Ashbaugh from Cullman, and Brandon Leming of Winchester, Tenn. will be cheering for the University of Tennessee.
Wallace State took second place at the 2007 UCA National College Cheerleading and Dance Team Championship in Orlando Fla. this year. The team won the event two of the last four years and has earned consecutive finishes in the top five for the past seven years.
