Pageant Fundamentals Workshop to be Held Saturday at Wallace State



Hanceville, Ala.--Wallace State Community College in Hanceville will
host a workshop on Pageant Fundaments on Saturday, June 23, from 8 a.m.
till 3 p.m. in the Wallace State Student Center Theater.



The workshop will cover mock interviews, dressing for success, on-stage
questions, head shots, fitness, swimsuit, and talent. At the end of the
day, participants will have the option of presenting their talent before
a panel of judges to get professional advice regarding quality,
presentation and costume.



Workshop facilitators will include Miss Alabama 2005 Alexa Jones, who
finished second runner-up at Miss America; Mimi Hudson, Miss Alabama
Field Director and Miss America Certified Judge; Monica Barnett-Smith,
owner of Exclusively Ballet and choreographer for Miss America 1995
Heather Whitestone; former Miss Wallace State and Miss North Alabama
Alecia Hulsey White; and Bart Sorrell, Dana Bailey Jacobs, Rob Metcalf
and Suzanne Harbin, who are all Miss Alabama Preliminary Directors and
Miss Alabama Certified Judges.



The fee for the daylong workshop, which includes a fashion show
luncheon, is $100. All proceeds benefit the Miss WSCC Scholarship Fund.
