   Wallace State Community College is hosting the 2007 Cultural Arts Week, April 9-14, 2007. This year’s theme is Southern Voices, so get ready to enjoy the events inspired by this year's theme.

Wallace State Community College is hosting a Juried Visual Arts Exhibition on Saturday, April 14, 2007, at the culmination of The 2007 Cultural Arts Week. This year’s theme is Southern Voices, so we are seeking original, representative art inspired by our theme.

9 April    Monday		The Wallace State Community College Department of Music presents A Night of Song with Cheryl Parrish and Juli Wood, vocalists, and Dr. Joey Martin, accompanist. Music Department Recital Hall, 7:00p	$  5.00 donation
10 April   Tuesday		The Wallace State Community College Department of Music will conduct a Vocal Master Class for the College vocal students. Music Department Recital Hall, 10:00a	Free
10 April   Tuesday		The Wallace State Community College Department of Music welcomes the public to an Open Rehearsal with the Wallace State Concert Choir and Dr. Joey Martin in the Recital Hall. Music Department Recital Hall, 1:00p	Free

	Thursday -    Author, journalist, and nationally recognized storyteller, Mrs. Windham is one of Alabama’s best known residents. She has written more than 20 books and is an Associated Press award-winning journalist who worked for the Birmingham News and the Selma Times-Journal. She began telling stories in the 1970’s, and today Mrs. Windham often entertains her listeners at story-telling events and historical meetings as well as on Alabama Public Television and National Public Radio.
