Wallace State Soccer to Hold 3v3 Tournament
HANCEVILLE, AL-- The Wallace State Community College soccer program is hosting a 3v3 tournament for children and adults July 29.
The tournament is open to any team wishing to compete. Teams consist of five players, and the registration fee of $100 is due by July 24. There is an additional $50 fee for late registration. The registration fee also includes a T-shirt for each player. Checks should be payable to Wallace State Soccer.
Pool play will begin at 9 a.m. at the Wallace State soccer field and track. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games.
Ages for team division will be determined by the players’ ages by Aug. 1. The U8 team will be co-ed. There will be girls’ and boys’ teams for U10, U12, U14, U16 and 16 to adult.
Check-in will be at the Wallace State soccer field. Teams will receive a complete list of game rules at check-in.
In addition to the soccer tournament, participants can also sign up to participate in Keeper Wars. The fast paced one-on-one soccer shootout is for all players who can score and stop shots, not just goalies. There will be a minimum of two matches with two, 3-minute periods of ultimate soccer intensity. Friends are the ball chasers to keep players shooting. To register, check the Keeper Wars box on the entry form and add $20 for each player registering.
Registration forms can be found at www.wallacestate.edu/soccer/docs/3v3_Soccer_Entry_Form.pdf.
