Both Associate Degree Nursing (RN) and Practical Nursing (PN) programs are offered on campus at Wallace State College. Each curriculum is a combination of academic and nursing courses.
It is our goal to prepare the student to work effectively with the health care team to meet the needs of patients. Students learn essential theoretical content and the skills in areas such as the nursing process, critical thinking, communication with patients, families, and the health care team, and nursing care of the patient with specific health care needs.
Upon successful completion of the coursework at WSC, the student is eligible to apply to write the licensure examination (NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN). Once the licensure exam has been passed successfully, the applicant is a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, ready to enter the workforce. |
