WSCC men’s basketball routs Tennessee Valley Prep 130-74
Hanceville, AL - The Wallace State Community College men's basketball team was on fire in their latest matchup against Tennessee Valley Prep.
Led by star players PJ Eason and Jimmie Williams, Wallace State took control early on. Eason's precision shooting and dominance under the boards earned him a double-double, while Williams displayed his all-around game, contributing points, rebounds, and assists.
Kendarius Anderson and Jalen Anglin added to the offensive onslaught with their sharpshooting from beyond the arc, draining threes and keeping the defense on its heels.
Off the bench, Authur Johnson and Kobe Gibbs made immediate impacts, providing scoring punch and energy on both ends of the floor. Johnson's scoring outburst led the team, while Gibbs' tenacity on the glass helped Wallace State control the rebounding battle.
Johnson, a freshman guard from Carrollton, Ga., scored 28 points to lead the Lions. Freshman guard Williams, of Cleveland, Ohio, scored 25 points and had 14 rebounds and six assists. Eason, a sophomore center from Dadeville, scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds. Gibbs, a sophomore guard from Bartow, Fla., scored 17 points. Anderson, a freshman guard from Tuscumbia, scored 12 points. Anglin, a sophomore guard from Jackson, Tenn., scored 11 points.
