HANCEVILLE, Ala. — Wallace State Community College Women’s Basketball kicked off the 2024-25 season with a decisive 67-56 victory over Northeast Mississippi Community College on Wednesday night at Bonner Arnold Coliseum.

The Lady Lions set the tone early, outscoring the Tigers 20-9 in the first quarter. Sophomore guard Kameron Sanders led Wallace State with a stellar performance, contributing 18 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Sophomore forward Nylaa Fuller recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds, showcasing her dominance in the paint. Freshman guard Idaysia Mercer provided a spark off the bench, tallying 13 points and two steals, while freshman guard Heather Tetro added six points and six assists.
