Lions Dominate Marion Military Institute with a 125-98 Victory
Wallace State Community College showcased their offensive firepower and depth with
a commanding 125-98 win over Marion Military Institute at the Ireland Center on Saturday,
Nov. 9. The Lions delivered an electrifying performance, combining efficient scoring,
relentless rebounding, and strong bench contributions to secure their second victory
of the season.
The Lions jumped to an early lead, fueled by sophomore guard Authur Johnson, who tallied
a game-high 24 points while adding six rebounds. Sophomore point guard Kami Young
followed suit with 19 points, including five three-pointers, and dished out three
assists.
Wallace State dominated the paint, led by freshman forward Viczavious Madden, who
contributed a whopping 15 points and 18 rebounds, energizing the Lions on both ends
of the floor. Sophomore Christian Thompson chipped in with five points and five rebounds.
Wallace State’s bench was instrumental, contributing 57 points, including 15 from
freshman guard Josh Paige and nine from sophomore Camren Johnson.
The Lions’ efficiency was on full display, shooting 52.2 percent from the field and
out-rebounding Marion 65-24. Their relentless pace resulted in a 66-point first half,
setting the tone for the remainder of the game.
