Wallace State flag football delivered another dominant performance on Wednesday, cruising to a 70-0 conference win over Northwest Shoals in Game 2 at home to complete a statement sweep.

The Lions wasted no time setting the tone. On the first play from scrimmage, quarterback Emma Kile connected with Taylor Kindred for a 66-yard touchdown. After a short punt return by Kindred set up another quick strike, Kile found Telecia Ransom for a 16-yard score and a 14-0 lead. Moments later, Kile and Kindred hooked up again, this time from 28 yards out to push the advantage to 22-0.

Special teams added to the highlight reel before the quarter ended when Kindred returned a punt 55 yards for a touchdown, giving Wallace State a commanding 30-0 lead after one.

The offensive explosion rolled into the second quarter. Kile hit Mariah Ragland for a 31-yard touchdown, then found Destinee Ealy for back-to-back scores, a 16-yard strike to the back of the end zone followed by a short pass that Ealy turned into a 31-yard touchdown. Ragland capped the first-half fireworks with a 22-yard interception return, sending Wallace into halftime with a 57-0 advantage.

In the second half, Kindred added two more touchdowns on the ground, scoring from six and seven yards out to put the finishing touches on the 70-0 shutout.

Kile was nearly flawless, completing 6-of-7 passes for 188 yards and six touchdowns. Kindred showcased her versatility with two catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns, five rushes for 31 yards and two scores, and two punt returns for 74 yards, including a touchdown. Ealy added two catches for 47 yards and two touchdowns, while Ragland contributed a receiving touchdown and a defensive score.

The Wallace State defense was just as dominant as the offense, holding Northwest Shoals to just 39 total yards and negative-15 rushing yards.

With the win, Wallace State completed a two-game sweep of Northwest Shoals, outscoring the Warhawks 147-6 on the day.
