The application process is continually open for all prospective students; however, it is suggested that admission forms be completed at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the first semester of attendance.

Wallace State Community College is an academic and technical college. The WSC Academic College offers more health career options than any other college in Alabama. The admission procedures are as follows:

WSC Academic College: An applicant must be a graduate of an accredited high school or have a General Education Diploma (GED). Also required are an admission application and official transcripts of all previous academic work. Applicants who are transferring from another college, foreign students, and other students with special needs must consult with the Director of Admissions and Records for further information on admission requirements.

WSC Technical College: For some programs, an applicant must be a graduate of an accredited high school or have a GED. Even though some people may not have a high school diploma or GED, they could qualify for admission as special students. Non-graduates may be enrolled in various courses provided they are 16 years old and have not attended school for a period of nine months; however, they must have documented proof of their ability to benefit from taking college-level courses.

WSC Health Careers: An applicant must be a graduate of an accredited high school or have a GED; however requirements vary depending on the program chosen. For more information, applicants should call (256) 352-8031.

Please note: We will not be accepting any more international students until August 2004.
