Miss Wallace State, North Alabama’s Outstanding Teen to be crowned Saturday, Sept. 25

id="attachment_18150" align="alignright" width="240" Miss Alabama 2021 Lauren Bradford will serve as the mistress of ceremonies for the 2022 Miss Wallace State and North Alabama's Outstanding Teen programs.HANCEVILLE, Ala. — Wallace State Community College will crown the 2022 Miss Wallace State on Saturday, Sept. 25 at Betty Leeth Haynes Theatre on the Hanceville campus. Also crowned will be the 2022 North Alabama’s Outstanding Teen.

Eight young women are competing for the title of Miss Wallace State. Candidates include McCoy Cleghorn, Katharina Gil, Hanna Hancock, and Autumn Sears, all of Cullman; Audrey Fuller of Oneonta; Anna Lucas of Birmingham; Brianna McAnnally of Dora; and Skylar Valenta of Sumiton.

The winner of Miss Wallace State will receive a one-year renewable tuition and fees scholarship to Wallace State, $300 cash scholarship, and more than $400 in other prizes. The first alternate will receive a $300 scholarship. Miss Wallace State 2022 will go on to compete for the title of Miss Alabama.

Five teens are competing for the title of Miss North Alabama’s Outstanding Teen. Candidates include Abby Daniels of Springville; Annaliese Dunn of Vinemont; Alyson Graves and Marianna Willoughby of Blountsville; and Zoe Vincent of Cullman.

The winner of North Alabama’s Outstanding Teen will receive a one-year renewable tuition and fees scholarship to Wallace State, $300 cash scholarship, and more than $400 in other prizes. She will go on to compete for the title of Alabama’s Outstanding Teen

Two of Alabama’s Rising Stars will be introduced at the event, Lilly Kate Bryant and Ava Whatley. “Alabama’s Rising Stars” is a program of the Miss Alabama Competition through which candidates act as mentors for young ladies aged 7 to 11.

Miss Alabama 2021 Lauren Bradford will act as mistress of ceremonies for the event and perform the “Orange Blossom Special.” Miss Wallace State 2021 Lacey Johnson will crown her successor.

The program will begin at 5 p.m., with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
