WaLLi program to be offered at Oneonta during Fall 2023 semester
Oneonta, AL — The Wallace State Community College Lifelong Learning Institute (WaLLi) is branching out to begin a pilot program at the Oneonta Academic Center for the Fall 2023 semester.
WaLLi is offered to area residents aged 50 and up and provides learning opportunities in a variety of subjects, trips, social luncheons, holiday parties, group activities, and more.
“Since Wallace State opened its doors in Oneonta, we’ve had area residents express some interest in starting a WaLLi group there,” said LaDonna Allen, Alumni Association Coordinator, who oversees the WaLLi group. “This pilot program will allow us to gauge interest in the community and determine if there is enough participation to expand further.”
During the pilot program at Oneonta, events scheduled include:
- Tech Workshops, Sept. 13 and Oct. 25 from 10 to 11 a.m.
- Day Trip to Yesterday’s Event Center, Sept. 21, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Door Hanger Painting Class, Oct. 11, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

- Design a Holiday T-shirt, Nov. 15, 10 to 11:30 a.m.
