Wallace State Softball Holds Off Coastal Alabama in 3-2 Victory

Hanceville, AL — The Wallace State softball team secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Coastal Alabama State Community College - South on April 13, 2024, at Bobby McCracken Stadium.

Wallace State's offense came alive early in the game, with Caroline Cartron, Laura Leigh Wheeler, Bayleigh Rouse and Jadyn Foster leading the charge with timely hits and key RBIs. Wheeler's double and Foster's RBI contributed to Wallace State's early lead, setting the stage for a competitive showdown.

Pitcher Emily Simon delivered a standout performance for Wallace State, showcasing her skill and composure under pressure. Despite facing a formidable Coastal Alabama - South lineup, Simon held her ground, allowing only two runs on six hits while striking out six batters.
