Wallace State Softball seeded 11th at NJCAA World Series
Hanceville, AL — Wallace State Community College Softball is seeded at No. 11 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Conference Division I Softball World Series to be held May 20-25 at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala.
The Lions (35-12) will face No. 6 seed Salt Lake Community College (47-7) out of Utah on Monday, May 20 at 5 p.m., in second round of the 20-team, double elimination tournament. In a shift, the NJCAA will hold a series of first-round games among the teams seeded 13-20 to determine the match-up for the teams seed 1-4.
This will be the Lions’ fourth straight appearance at the 2024 National Junior College Conference Division I Softball World Series and their 16th overall. Live games will be broadcast through May 21 on the NJCAA Network (www.njcaa.org) before games will be aired on ESPN+ starting May 22.
Located 65 miles from Wallace State, this will be the last year for the world series to be held at Choccolocco Park before it returns to Yuma, Ariz., in 2025.
