Phlebotomy
About the Course
The Phlebotomy course trains students to safely collect blood samples for testing
in hospitals, laboratories, clinics, jails, and prisons. Students practice venipuncture
techniques, patient interaction, and specimen handling procedures.
This program includes 72–88 contact hours, combining classroom instruction with hands-on practice to prepare students for entry-level employment in healthcare and laboratory settings.
Admission Requirements
Participants must be at least 17 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, and possess
a high school diploma or GED.

Course Cost
Upon successful completion of the course and required clinical competencies, students
are eligible to sit for the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT) national
certification exam. This credential validates skills in blood collection, safety,
and patient care, and is recognized by employers across healthcare settings.
